We design the product’s structure, analyse its potential errors so as to correct them in advance, and prepare the production processes to manufacture it
Engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operating as a whole throughout this phase in order to minimise costs
During the Industrialisation Phase, we prepare the product and all the processes necessary for its manufacturing. In this way, mass production can carried out optimally.
At Smarmec, we have extensive experience in projects related to smart machines. This phase, like all the others, is carried out with special care to offer our clients the results they want. Do you have any questions? Contact us!
To reach this phase, the project must have previously gone through the Supply Chain Selection Phase. During this phase, we carry out the necessary operations to ensure the client receives the best results possible from all this hard work.
The Industrialisation Phase is divided into two stages:
- Selection: In this stage, different key aspects are specified so as to continue with the manufacturing process. We define the macro processes (flowcharts, layouts), update the FMEA (analysing potential errors and their effect on the product itself), detail the quality plans, draft the necessary documentation for suppliers…
- Implementation: It involves applying everything that was determined in the previous stage, validating the processes regarding suppliers, and implementing processes at a micro level.
In order to properly carry out the stages involved in this phase, at Smarmec, teams made up of the engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain departments work together as a whole.
It is essential that this phase is carried out early on because, from an economic point of view, it ensures the efficiency of small series production from the very beginning. In our blog we have talked about the different phases in which we divide our projects to execute them properly. Click here to learn more about the 8 phases in which we divide our operations.
Success story
The fast implementation of this phase was the key aspect in a project with one of our clients, Power Electronics. The Industrialisation Phase was successfully completed in two weeks. This made it easier to supply parts and help the client when faced with peak demand.
At Smarmec, we specialise in metal-mechanical sub-assemblies with a sheet metal base. Several technologies are then adapted so as to offer our clients the most innovative solutions.
